After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in 1987, he continued his professional education by earning his Chartered Financial Consultant designation in 2009 and his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2010. Carter is licensed as a Life and Health Insurance Agent and a member of the Financial Planning Association.
A third-generation Corpus Christi native, Carter remains an active member of the community serving as President of the Buccaneer Commission Foundation and a board member of the First United Methodist Church Foundation, as well as a long-time member of the Nueces County A&M Club and lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as downhill skiing, hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with family.
